Major League Manager 2026
The Big Show — a browser rebuild of the 1986 DOS classic, with 2026 MLB rosters.
A browser rebuild of the 1986 DOS game Major League Manager, using current 2026 MLB active rosters and season stats. Play it the old way: 80-column CGA color text, an ASCII diamond, named fielders, and a five-page newspaper box score.
Opens play.natsstats.app in a new tab. Best on a desktop keyboard — this is a 1980s computer game, not a tap-to-play mobile arcade.
What's in the box
- 1986 CGA presentation
- 80-column color text, an ASCII diamond, named fielders, two result boxes, and a five-page newspaper box score.
- Current 2026 MLB rosters
- All 30 clubs and 26-man active rosters, with hitting, pitching, and fielding stats that refresh from the public MLB Stats API.
- Bill James Log5 engine
- Pitcher–batter resolution for strikeouts, walks, hits, extra bases, ground balls, GIDP, sacrifice flies, and errors.
- Original manager keys
- D G I O W / P R B S U / L H E M T — the same dugout commands as the 1986 DOS original.
- Exhibition or full season
- Play a one-off, run a season with standings and leaders, and keep saved stats in the browser.
- Front office
- Trade, create, edit, and release players. A computer manager can run the other dugout — or both, if you just want to watch.
Why it lives next door
Nats Stats is a project created by Maybee Creations. Major League Manager is a separate game — a full-screen keyboard sim — so it stays on its own Vercel project instead of being folded into the stats dashboard. Same shop, different stall.
Major League Manager 2026 is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Major League Baseball or the Washington Nationals. In honor of the 1986 original by Bob Gardner.
